Many state and federal health officials, including the Director of the RI Dept. of Health, are encouraging EVERYONE who goes out in public to wear a cloth mask, scarf or other face covering over their nose and mouth to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). You can buy cloth masks or make your own, using do-it-yourself tips found online. Here's a link to the tutorial posted by the New York Times. https://www.nytimes.com/article/how-to-make-face-mask-coronavirus.html We're also offering these tips for using face masks. Stay safe everyone! #coronavirus #InThisTogether #SlaterCenter #CannabisCommunity #CannabisIsMedicine #LiveBetterNaturally

Today is World Autism Awareness Day.
The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in 160 children has an autism-spectrum disorder.
RI allows the use of medical cannabis for treatment of some autism patients. If your child has autism, ask your health care provider if medical cannabis can help. Then visit the Slater Center, where our compassionate patient advisors can help you choose the right cannabis medicine for your child.
Learn more about the use of medical cannabis on our website slatercenter.com.

NEW AT THE SLATER CENTER: Rick Simpson Oil
RSO is a potent, full-spectrum cannabis oil extracted from cannabis plants with high levels of THC and other cannabinoids.
Named for Rick Simpson, a Canadian medical cannabis activist, RSO is made by using a solvent to extract cannabinoids from cannabis plants that are high in THC. The resulting oil, which can range in appearance from light amber to dark brown, can be taken sublingually or used topically. It comes in a syringe-like applicator, which allows for more precise dosing.
RSO is available for our patients only. Check it out on our menu: slatercenter.com/menu

Earlier today, we donated several dozen gift bags with Stop and Shop grocery cards and personal hygiene items to Providence City Councilman Nicholas Narducci for distribution to deserving residents in our neighborhood. Each bag contains a disposable mask, gloves and hand sanitizer, in addition to the gift card. #slatercenter #helpingothers #inthistogether #cannabisismedicine #livebetternaturally
